“Together Forever” is a different take on the popular “Anniversary Waltz”.

The performer approaches a couple who are related together such as boyfriend and girlfriend, husband and wife, 2 best frends, siblings or parent and child, etc.

Let us take a married couple. The performer asks how long ago did their 2 paths crossed each other. Whatever the reply, the performer gets one of them to cut the deck and place it at 90° to the bottom half (this is the criss-cross force). The cards above and below the location where the deck is cut are taken as the 2 chosen cards. Let us say the cards are the 6 of hearts and the 3 of spades. The husband gets the 6 of hearts and the wife the 3 of spades.

The performer places the 6 of hearts on top of the deck and gets the husband to put his name on the face of the card with a Sharpie. This card is turned over face downwards on the deck.

The performer takes the 3 of spades from the wife and places it on top of the face down deck. He likewise gets her to pen her name on the face of this card.

The performer carefully picks up the 2 signed cards – they are back to back and slightly overlapping each other. He asks both spectators to take hold of a corner of their signed card. When he lets go of his hold on the 2 cards, both spectators find that their 2 cards have been fused together. Not one card sting onto the other, but the 2 cards, even though one is face up and the other face down, are now one card – a truly odd thing. This is then given to the 2 participating spectators as a souvenir.

You receive this odd “together forever” single card. There are 36 of them, in 6 X 6 “sets” of cards. Each “set” consists of 2 different values cards printed back to back. You are also given a link to a 25 minutes video tutorial conducted by Steve Gore himself.

The video contains 3 different full live persormances. Steve’s explanation of the effect takes only about 10 out of the 25 minutes. Steve will teach you how to “force” the 2 cards and how to switch both of them for the single odd gimmicked card. Erik Tait also comes in to show you his own version of this effect.

As mentioned, the “forever together” is not 2 cards stuck together back to back, but one single card with printing on both sides. This makes it an impossible object to be given as a souvenir to the 2 participating spectators. This effect has a strong emotional hook on the 2 spectators.

The “switching” of the 2 cards takes place where most of the heat is on the 2 participating spectators. You can come up with your own method for accomplishing this – Erik Tait did.

If you perform for a couple, it is hard to find a better effect than “together forever”. (Rated 5/5 stars)
