MENTAL POST CARDS by Pablo Amira & Alan Wong

“Mental Post Cards” is a set of postcards featuring beautiful photographs of different countries around the world.

Their backs are secretly marked. The markings are subtly done so that you can read them without much problem, yet they are hidden in plain sight from unsuspecting eyes.

In addition to these, Pablo also provides some gimmicked cards such as double face and double back postcards. You also get several post cards that has no photographs but the names of the countries, and one post card that contains a crib. 23 of the post cards are designed to be stacked alphabetically.

It is a customised set of beautiful post cards gimmicked for you to use in your mental act. You receive all the post cards and a 12-page booklet featuring 8 different routines by Pablo Amira. You are also given a link to a short video showing Pablo performing some of the routines, but without explanations.

Many secret writings are too small to be read at one glance by the spectator. But not so for the secret markings on these post cards. They can be quite easily read when you know where to look for them.

Many items that require an alphabetical stack do require some effort in memorisation. Pablo has specially designed 23 of these post cards such that you can easily commit them to an alphabetical stack as they contain very popular and common countries.

Of the 8 routines presented by Pablo in the booklet, one involves an ACAAN type of effect, one a brainwave type of effect, and one with “remote viewing”. My favourite is “Your Future Trip”, where a rolled-up message inside a bottle reveals the exact country in a post card freely chosen by a spectator. There is no switching of the message or any sleight-of-hand involved. It is based on an effect from the book “Corinda – 13 Steps To Mentalism”. The post card is not forced and the method is quite deviously conceived.

For those who are creative, these “Mental Post Cards” are tools for a mentalist to use in his own routine. (Rated 4.5/5 stars)
