When you see a trick involving a voodoo doll, such as this one, the effect is usually the prediction of where a spectator will insert pins on the effigy. “Letter V” is no exception. The difference is in the presentation and the props.

In effect, the performer takes out a small voodoo doll from a sack-like draw-string pouch.

On the voodoo doll are crosses on its hands, legs and chest. The performer explains that not all effigies are used to put a curse on a person, some of them are used for healing.

The performer than opens a small scroll made of sack cloth. Inside are half a dozen pins. He invites a spectator to take a pin and insert it into one of the 5 crosses on the voodoo doll. She may use one or all 5 pins to insert into one or all of the 5 crosses on the doll.

The performer takes out a folded piece of thick parchment paper from the draw-string pouch, which is now otherwise empty. He claims that this parchment paper is from the practitioner of voodooism. Nobody can understand what was written on the parchment paper as it was written of a strange language. The performer claims the writer knew exactly how many and where the spectator would insert her pins on the effigy.

Before anyone could reject this claim, the letter is fully opened and it was signed off by an outline of the voodoo doll with exactly the locations where the pins were inserted!

You receive the small black voodoo woollen doll with the 5 white crosses, a roll-up scroll with pins inside, the draw-string pouch, a dry-erase sharpie and the folded parchment prediction paper. They come inside a nice paper draw-box. The quality of all the props is truly very good and professional.

You are also given another folded parchment paper in case you wish to write your own prediction. The instructions are in the form of a piece of paper, and there are no links to any video tutorial.

The props are very well-made and should attract much attention. It is easy to do and there is very little performing angle to worry about. If you do not like the morbid idea of using a voodoo doll for inflicting pain or curse to a person, you can patter about healing aspect of voodoo doll. (Rated 5/5 stars)
