Star Trick” is not only a unique revelation of a selected celebrity, but a huge one, because the final revelation is a large poster measuring 2 feet X 3 feet! This poster is actually a montage of 576 mini photographs of celebrities, forming a photo mosaic of the popular movie star of bygone years, Marilyn Monroe. The huge poster has to be viewed from a distance away to see the image of Marilyn Monroe. This means the person on stage assisting the performer will not be able to see the picture, but the audience will!
The effect is as follows. A spectator is invited on stage to assist the performer. The magician shows a folded sheet of poster measuring 8 inches X 12 inches. It contains 64 photographs of different celebrities from varies entertainment industries. The poster is unfolded to show that it comprises 9 of such panels, so that the overall dimensions of the poster is 2 feet X 3 feet and it contains a total of 576 photographs of different celebrities.
The spectator selects one of these 9 panels and the performer refolds the large paper so that the selected panel is exposed. The spectator takes a round label and sticks it to one of the 64 photographs behind her back.
The spectator then discovers that she has stuck her label on the photograph of Marilyn Monroe. No one else knows about this. Someone in the audience is nominated to aid the performer. The huge paper poster is unfolded and this person is able to name the actual celebrity chosen by the spectator. The audience, except the spectator on stage, can all see that the paper is a huge photo mosaic of Marilyn Monroe!

You get the special huge folded photo mosaic of Marilyn Monroe, the round sticker labels and special something to enable the spectator to select the photograph of Marilyn Monroe every time. The instructions come in the form of 2 printed sheets.
The force of the Marilyn Monroe photograph is quite clever, but it takes some practise to get it right. For this reason, a video instructions would have been more effective.
At US$70, “Star Trick” is not exactly an effect most performer can afford. The poster revelation, when unfolded, is really very nice. It has taken Lee Earle hundreds of hours to create this digital masterpiece. The paper is also made of a special tear- resistant paper so that it will last for hundreds of performances.
