Pocket SansMinds Sharpie (DVD and Gimmick) by SansMinds

A moving ink effect all packed in a small and pocket friendly mini sharpie.

Lately, I have been reviewing a few SansMinds magic products and thus have been watching Herman from SandsMinds magic talking in the video. Unlike the previous DVD I have reviewed, Herman is actually doing a pretty good job in showing the workings of this effect.

This is not a new product per se. It is the same SandMinds Sharpie but miniaturised.  There are many effects you can do with this Sharpie.

*You can move an X marked by the Sharpie on your palm and move it to your arm.

*Another interesting routine is to draw a coin on a table, “pick” it up and change it to a real coin.

Sharpie

*A wrong prediction of a card written on a glass table top is changed to the right prediction by rubbing the palm across the prediction. This looks rather visual and cool. Same principle can be applied to ESP cards.

*This is my favourite effect in this DVD. Draw a coin on a table, “pick” it up and throw it into a mug, there is a clinking sound and the drawn coin appears at the bottom of the cup. You have to watch this as Herman tries to pitch the sale of the regular version of the SandsMinds Sharpie J.

All the effects in the DVD are very practical and doable. Certain tricks require some preparation but nothing complicated. The pen is expandable and will eventually run out of ink, you’d need to purchase a new set soon enough if you do this regularly.

If you have the regular version of the SandsMinds, you should also get this as you can have this attached to your keychain..nah that’s just an excuse. You get this version mainly because smaller = cuter. If you don’t own the regular version, you can probably try the pocket version first as this is cheaper. The marker acts as a permanent marker on cards and it also act as a moving ink. What I don’t like is that certain handlings are not taught in this DVD, they kept referring finer handlings to the regular version of this Sharpie. However, I think the DVD for the pocket version is good enough to get you started.

Highly recommended. Rating 8.5/10
