EDEN

EDEN” is a delightful and unique revelation of any named playing card using a famous painting.

In effect, the performer asks a spectator to name any one of the 52 playing cards in a deck. Assuming the spectator names the king of diamonds, the performer shows an antique-looking deck of cards.

He spreads the cards face downwards, slides out a card from the spread, closes the spread, places the card on top of the deck, and cuts the deck, burying the card in the middle. This is how a magician would lose the chosen card in the deck.

The performer brings out a prediction card. It is a miniature replica of Michelangelo’sCreation of Adam” painting. Just as the audience is wondering what this miniature painting has to do with the spectator’s named card, the performer turns the deck face upwards and spreads it.

Instead of the faces of playing cards, the spread shows the “Creation of Adam” painting. The performer further spreads the cards between God’s finger and Adam’s finger. A miniature king of diamonds is seen there!

You receive the specially printed deck of cards, 10 different miniature replicas of famous paintings, and a link to a 35-minute video tutorial.

EDEN” can be compared to Dan Harlan’sCartoon” deck, as both decks can reveal any one of the 52 named playing cards, except “EDEN” has no animation.

The deck is marked on the back. It uses the Bicycle jumbo deck marking. However, if you feel your eyesight is no longer trustworthy, you may want to secretly mark both the aces and the eights for quick access to any named card.

The painting cards provided are for you to add another phase to the “EDEN” trick. Instead of simply using the “Creation of Adam” painting as the prediction, you can have the spectator choose this painting from among other paintings. Various ways of doing this are discussed in the tutorial.

There are no performing angles for you to worry about. The success of the trick depends on how quickly you can locate a named card by reading the backs of the cards. The main attraction of “EDEN” is the cute revelation of any named card in the painting of the “Creation of Adam”.
