ANAKARAKURI

This is a Tenyo product.  In effect, 2 spectators choose a card each from a packet of 13 all hearts suit cards.  One chooses the 8 of Hearts and the other the Queen of Hearts.

The performer shows a folded prediction that comprises heart shape holes and red colour rectangles.  When the holes are folded against the red rectangles, they appear as the red hearts.

The performer folds his prediction to show the 2 of Hearts.  This is not the first spectator’s card.  The performer refolds his prediction to show the 4 of Hearts.  Again, this is not the first spectator’s card.

Third time lucky.  The performer refolds his prediction and this time it reveals the 8 of Hearts.  It is indeed the first spectator’s chosen card.

The performer proceeds to refold the card but confesses he cannot get the second spectator’s selected card.  Upon hearing that the second selected card is the Queen of Hearts, everyone is wondering how the performer is going to accomplish this task as there is no picture of a Queen in the folded prediction.

With a magical gesture, the performer refolds the prediction and opens it to reveal a nice picture of the Queen of Hearts.

Just as magical, the performer opens the prediction and it is back to the original paper with heart holes and red rectangles.

You receive the specially printed prediction paper and a link to download the printed instructions in the English language.

You have to assemble the folded prediction card yourself.  The instructions show you how to do that, and it is an easy task.  You need to supply your packet of the 13 hearts cards.

This is a topological puzzle that works like magic.  The appearance of the Queen of Hearts is unexpected and truly magical.  It is a novelty trick, and is best performed as a parlour effect.  (Rated 5/5 stars)
