“Magic Calendar” is a fortune-telling type of trick.
10 small round counters are shown, each depicting a lucky item such as ring, playing cards, lucky cat, flower, clover, coin, crystal, bell, pearl and teddy bear.
They are turned face down and mixed around on a table. A spectator freely eliminates the counters until one remains. When it is turned over, it shows, say, the “lucky cat”.
A small perpetual calendar is introduced. It is shown that each day in the calendar has a “lucky item” depicted. This “lucky item” is one of the 10 items shown on the counters.
The spectator turns to the month of her birthday, and finds that the day of her birth has the “lucky cat” as the “lucky item”. Unknowingly, she has chosen her own lucky item.
You receive everything you need to perform this effect. If you have not be given the English version, there is a link to Tenyo’s website where you can download the English instructions.
The effect is easy to perform. Because it is about the spectator’s birthday, if properly performed, it has a personal emotional hook. It is a worthwhile investment because as with most Tenyo products, the quality of the product is good and the price is below $20. (Rated 4/5 stars)
